Laxmi Vishwakarma’s story :
The stethoscope felt heavy in Laxmi’s hands, its cool metal a stark contrast to the warmth of the tears welling up in her eyes. It was a moment she had dreamt of since childhood, but one that seemed perpetually out of reach. Years of relentless study, a battle with self-doubt, and the weight of societal expectations had threatened to crush her aspirations. But here she was, finally, a medical student, her heart brimming with gratitude for the one person who had helped her reach this momentous milestone.
This person happens to be every daughter’s superhero, first love & the god’s greatest blessing to a girl , her dad ! But Laxmi’s story was not a smooth road it was full of hurdles! Laxmi started her medical journey in a very beautiful country but circumstances there caused her to leave it in 4 months & after returning to India , instead of losing hope she restarted it in an Indian college but things couldn’t work out & in-spite of all of this she never lost hope & is currently a student in Kazan state medical university Russia.
As Nelson Mandela rightfully said ‘ the greater glory in living lies not only in never falling but rising every time you fall ‘ Laxmi’s story is a testaments that hurdles are going to be omnipresent in every journey!
Now as Laxmi navigates the challenges of medical school , she carries her dad’s legacy . She embodies the strength & determination that her struggles instilled , reminding that even when the path seems impossible , a single iota of strength , can change the trajectory of life . Her story reminds us that at the end of the day it’s all right here “ right in your hands”.
